ULYSSES - Margaret Rose Torok, 91, of Ulysses, formerly of Raymond, died Wednesday (Dec. 25, 2013) in her daughter's home in Mohnton.
She was born Nov. 10, 1922, in Ulysses Township. On April 2, 1939, in Galeton, she married Albert F. Torok, who predeceased her on March 2, 1997.
Mrs. Torok and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in Raymond for many years.
She was employed by Erway's Market in Coudersport for 18 years. Margaret previously attended the Gold Church and was a long-time member of the H.U.G. Senior Center in Ulysses.
Surviving are four children, Harold John (Patricia) Torok of Genesee, Alice (Antonio) Scalesi of Mohnton, Arlett Weidner of Coudersport, and Paul (Debbie) Torok of Westfield; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Linda Alawine of Elma, Wash., Pauline Shutt of Shinglehouse, Maryann Williams of Ulysses, Nola Gear of Gilbert, Ariz., and Anna Brooke of Blossburg; nieces and nephews; and beloved canine companion, Lucy.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ethel Younglove Moe; her step-mother, Beatrice Moe; two brothers, Harold Empson and Gerald E. Empson; and two sisters, Amy M. Empson and Gertrude Morley.
Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, on Monday from noon to 2 p.m., with funeral services immediately following. The Rev. Frank Mickle will officiate. Burial will be in Raymond Cemetery, Allegany Township.
