Mary Lockwood

Mary G. Lockwood, 83, a loving mother and grandmother of Emerald Isle, Smethport, passed away Monday (Dec. 31, 2012) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 19, 1929, in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of Joe and Nancy G. Aaron Kerr. On July 19, 1947, in St. Raphael Church in Eldred, she married Willard A. Lockwood, who died on Oct. 27, 1995.
Mrs. Lockwood attended Otto-Eldred High School. She was employed at McCroy's 5 & 10 and later at Zippo Manufacturing Co.
She was member of St. Elizabeth Church in Smethport. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, table puzzles, and after her husband's death, was able to travel throughout the world.
Mrs. Lockwood is survived by one son, Thomas W. Lockwood of Smethport; two grandchildren, Kim Lockwood-Harris of Erie and Thomas W. Lockwood Jr. of Lewis Run; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Goff of Lockport; one brother, Richard Kerr of Duke Center; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Cloud.
Family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth's Church in Smethport with the Rev. Vincent Cieslewicz, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
