Michael R. DeVallance, 41, of 1245 13th St., N.W., Washington, D.C., passed away Saturday (Oct. 6, 2012) at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 13, 1971, in Ridgway, a son of Robert N. and Joyce Marrone DeVallance of Johnsonburg.
Mr. DeVallance graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School in 1989, and from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1995. He resided in the Washington, D.C. area since 1997.
He was employed by Wright USA for the past five years, and he owned and operated Meeting RX for the past 10 years and owned "The Sugarcane" flower shop in Johnsonburg for the past two years.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal stepgrandmother, Ruth Marrone of Johnsonburg; two brothers, Christopher (Shannon) DeVallance of Ridgway and Jason DeVallance of Orlando, Fla.; two nephews, Alec and Carson DeVallance; a niece, Gianna DeVallance; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Carol DeVallance; and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Horchen Marrone.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
