Nellie Linden

COUDERSPORT - Nellie M. Linden, 83, of Coudersport, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday (Aug. 10, 2014) at Sweden Valley Manor.
Born Feb. 27, 1931 in Long Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Florence Sprague Moore. In June of 1950, she married George W. Linden Jr., who preceded her in death.
Nellie was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle since 1970 and was very active in her church. She was a member of the Red Hatters and WCTU. She liked to paint, sew, knit and make ceramics. She also enjoyed volunteering, especially at Sweden Valley Manor and Cole Memorial Hospital.
Nellie is survived by her sons, Ronald W. (Jean) Linden, Randy T. (Marlene) Linden and Russell W. Linden, all of Coudersport; one daughter-in-law, Kim Linden of Coudersport; sisters, Lorraine (Rev. David Sr.) Minor and Ruth (John A. Sr.) Coudersport; brothers, Jay King (Lore) Wallace of Long Island and George (Sue) Moore of Baraboo, Wis., 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rick Linden; one great-grandson, Dylan Langworthy; brothers; Ellsworth Moore Jr. and Charles Moore; and a sister, Lillian Moore.
Nellie's Life Celebration will be Thursday at the Gospel Tabernacle with a visitation from 1 to 3 p.m., when a funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m., with pastors David Minor Sr., Timothy Minor and Brian Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Eulalia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Gospel Tabernacle Romanian Orphanage Fund, 31 Port Allegany Road, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," at 210 North East St., Coudersport.
