Roger Austin

Roger B. Austin, 54, of 1 Main St., passed away Friday (Oct. 5, 2012) at his residence.
Born Jan. 19, 1958, in Coudersport, he was a son of the late Edward "Red" and Cleo L. Wheeler Austin.
Mr. Austin was a graduate of Austin High School, where he played basketball. He then attended the Hiram G. Andrews Center for Carpentry. He was employed at Futures Rehabilitation Center for a number of years.
He volunteered at the McKean County SPCA and participated and volunteered for McKean County Special Olympics. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and had a love for cats.
Surviving are three sisters, Glenda M. Austin in Florida, Barbara Quale in Colorado and Sandy Howard in New York; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday at the Steps Drop-In Center at 62 Main St. in Bradford. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Austin. 
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
