ELDRED - Virgil K. Graham Sr., 74, of Beers Hollow Road, passed away Friday (March 28, 2014) at Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1939, in Wrights Corners, he was a son of Willis and Roberta Norton Graham. On Feb. 26, 2014, in Port Allegany, he married Donna Stark, who survives.
Virgil was a 1960 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and was a lifelong resident of Eldred.
Mr. Graham was employed by the American-Olean Tile Co., which later became Dal-Tile, in the maintenance department for many years prior to his retirement in 2002.
He was a longtime member of the Olean Moose Club
and St. Bonaventure Country Club. Virgil loved camping, golfing and playing cards; he was also a devoted fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of Eldred, are one son, Virgil (Cheri) Graham Jr. of Eldred; three daughters, Deborah (Frank) Fusco of Bradford, Teresa (John) Carr of Smethport and Linda (Richard) Daniels of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren, Andrew (Maggie) Fusco, Ryan Fusco, Zachary Daniels, Lacey Daniels, Kayla Carr, Virgil Graham III, Holden Graham and Braden Graham; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Bruce (Betty) Graham of Deltona, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Charm Graham of Smethport.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Bernard Carr Jr. and Lucas Fusco; two brothers, Dwayne and Bradley Graham; and a sister, Janet Eaton.
Friends may call Monday at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Vince Cieslewicz officiating.
