KANE - Adeline "Ade" Kessler, 83, of 24 Chestnut St., passed away Saturday (Aug. 23, 2014) at her residence.

Born Nov. 27, 1930, in Punxutawney, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Manfredo. On Aug. 6, 1954, in Punxutawney, she married Joseph Kessler, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kessler was a registered nurse at Kane Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Callistus Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Callistus #66.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Christopher) Elnicki of Lancaster and Linda (Ralph) Cecchetti of Kane; a son, Joseph A. (Jordis) Kessler II of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Judy Kessler of Kane; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by a son, Christopher A. Kessler; four sisters; and a brother.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home Inc. in Kane from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Vincent Cieslewicz, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Mount Jewett and St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in Smethport, officiating. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
