Adler James Muller, 88, of Martinsburg, went to be with his Lord on Friday (Jan. 11, 2013).

Born May 26, 1924, in Nassau County, N.Y., he was the son of the late Adler James Muller and Marie Josephine Marino Muller.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division. Afterwards, he served as an elementary school teacher, then principal of the Chittenton South District in Vermont.
Mr. Muller was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church.
He is survived by two sons, Nathan J. Muller of Smethport and James Muller of Underhill, Vt.; two daughters, Barbara Retman of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Marie Trull of Inwood; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond Muller of Kings Park, N.Y., and Paul and William Muller, both of Beaverton, Ore.; and two sisters, Ruth Chapman and Dorothy Muller, both of Beaverton.
He was preceded in death by three children, Karen, Peter and Theresa Muller; and one grandchild, Adam Muller.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, where a vigil service will be held that evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Leo Catholic Church with the Rev. Brian Shoda officiating, with military honors to follow.
