ALLEGANY, N.Y. - Alice B. "Granny" Helander, 94, formerly of Walker Avenue, Bradford, Pa., passed away Tuesday (Dec. 18, 2012) at the Pines Health & Rehab following a lengthy illness.

Alice was born April 24, 1918, in Allegany, a daughter of Ralph and Anna Conhiser Bozard.
She spent most of her adult life in Bradford, where she raised her daughters. She returned to Allegany upon her retirement in 1980.
Alice is a former member of St. John's church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra H. (James) Camberg of Allegany and Marcia A. (Bruce) Campbell of Palm Bay, Fla.; four grandchildren, Bridget K. Gutowski and Jill A. Campbell, both of Palm Bay, Fla., Sara K. (Joseph) Yeager of Olean and Emily A. Camberg of Long Beach, Calif.; two great-granddaughters, Chelsea Gutowski and Chloe Gutowski-Selby; one great-grandson, Kemper Conklin; two great-great grandsons, Caleb and Lake Gutowski; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by two infant sons; a sister, Eleanor Wilson; and a niece, Caroline Galmbacher.
At her request there will be no public visitation or a funeral service.
