WELLSBORO - Ann Austin, 84, of Harrisburg and formerly of Wellsboro, died at her home surrounded by her family, on Monday (Oct. 17, 2016).
She was the wife of Elwood Austin, who survives. Ann was born May 1, 1932 in Williamsport, the daughter of the late George and Velma Neal Hotchkiss.
Ann was a member of First Baptist Church of Wellsboro. She was a homemaker who truly enjoyed her family. She loved animals, especially dogs. Ann enjoyed watching the birds and she also liked listening to classical music. Ann was a volunteer for the , Girl Scouts and The Seekers, an antique collecting group.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are six daughters, Patricia Ann Steele (Robert) of Millerstown, Brenda A. Mancinelli (William) of Shamong, N.J., Sandra A. Matier, Susan A. Dengler, Karen A. Keller (James), and Sharon A. Rozema (John), all of Harrisburg; 19 grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to Ann's Life Celebration on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home Ltd. Visitation prior to funeral service on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home, service to follow with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey McCleary officiating. Interment in Wellsboro Cemetery.
