RIDGWAY - Anne E. Defibaugh, 82, of 432 Lookout Ave., Ridgway, passed away Tuesday (July 30, 2013) at Pinecrest Manor.

She was born May 27, 1931, in Port Allegany, the daughter of Gordan and Signe Erickson Edgar. On Feb. 23, 1952, she married Howard Defibaugh, who survives. Mrs. Defibaugh was Methodist by faith. She had been employed by North Penn Gas Co., Hamlin Bank and Trust Co., and Producer's Bank.
She moved to Ridgway with her family in 1974. She was active with the Bloodmobile, American Cancer Society and Hospital Auxiliary Thrifty Shop, and she was on the Board of the Elk County Historical Society.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Thomas Defibaugh of Bradford and Richard Defibaugh of Ridgway; two grandchildren, Melissa (Mark) Stitzer of Zion and Matthew Defibaugh of York; a sister, Kathy Van Ette of Port Allegany; and a brother, Theodore (Mary) Edgar of Smethport.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, William Edgar.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home.
