Anne "Twig" Vogt, 56, of 326 Shawmut Ave., Johnsonburg, died Sunday morning (Sept. 30, 2012) at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Dec. 26, 1955, in Johnsonburg, the daughter of Orlando "Popeye" and Borgia McDivitt Maletto. She married Victor "Vic" Vogt on Aug. 10, 1974, at St. Leo's Church in Ridgway.
Mrs. Vogt graduated from the Johnsonburg Area High School in 1973. She resided in Johnsonburg for most of her life and lived briefly in Ridgway. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the Wilcox Legion, Wilcox Sportsmens Club, Rolfe Sportsmens Club and the Eagles Club. She loved her family, camping and motorcycling.
She was employed at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys for 18 years, retiring in 2008 and was also a florist with the Lyn Clare flower shop for 10 years.
Mrs. Vogt is survived by her husband at home; a daughter, Amie (Matt) Hooper of New Paltz, N.Y.; a son, Victor Vogt and fiancé Lindsay Kist of State College; grandchildren, Mason and Samuel Hooper of New Paltz; two brothers, Michael Maletto of Jamestown, N.Y., and Ralph (Mattie) Maletto of Johnsonburg; two sisters, Kathi Bailey and fiancé Gary Bauer of Kersey and Angelina Maletto of Charlotte, N.C.
She has been preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Anthony and Frank Maletto.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Donations, if desired, may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center in DuBois; Community Nurses; or Hospice of St. Marys.
