NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio - Anthony T. Grill, 78, of New Philadelphia, passed away Sunday (Nov. 2, 2014) in the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health.

Born in Bradford, Pa., on Nov. 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Donato and Wilda Shimp Grill.
After graduating from high school, he began his professional career working as a machinist at Bovaird and Seyfang in Bradford. Then, he continued working as a supervisor at Penelec, from where he ultimately retired.
Anthony was an award-winning wildlife carver and also a model aviation enthusiast. His faith was nurtured at Sacred Heart Church, where he was a member.
He is survived by his children, Daniel (Betsy) Grill, Cindy Grill and Mike Grill, all of Pennsylvania; his brother, Daniel A. Grill; his aunt, Gloria Spring; four grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Shelly Grill of Pennsylvania; and one niece and one nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Grill.
Cremation will be cared for through Geib's Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. Inurnment will take place in St. Bernard Cemetery in Bradford.
