JOHNSONBURG - Anthony A. "Tony" Pirman, 83, of 420 Willow St., Johnsonburg, died Thursday (July 12, 2018) evening at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Sept. 26, 1934 in Johnsonburg, he was a son of Joseph and Angela Rote Pirman.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life. He graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1953.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Central Hose Co., Prince of Piedemont Club, and he had been a member of the Johnsonburg Moose. He was an avid baseball fan and loved to play baseball.
He had been employed by Willamette Inc., Johnsonburg Mill, retiring in 1994 after 39 years of service.
He is survived by his longtime friend of over 25 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Kelly; one sister, Angeline (Joseph) Wolfe of Kane; his longtime caregiver and nephew Louis Roebuck in addition to numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews
Preceding him in death were his parents, brother: Joseph Pirman, and a sister: Anne Roebuck.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at the Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
