EMPORIUM - Barbara Schnee McGraw, 83, of Lindenwood Drive, Emporium, passed away Thursday (Nov. 29, 2012) in the emergency room of Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 19, 1929, in Wilmington, Del., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Bertha Jessop Schnee. Sixty-three years ago on Jan. 19, 1949, in Emporium, she married Lloyd McGraw, who survives.
A lifelong resident of Emporium, she was a graduate of Emporium High School and Bryant & Stratton Business College in Buffalo, N.Y.
Barb was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporium and a past member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Emporium Chapter #101.
Surviving in addition to her husband Lloyd are one son, Larry (Nanette) McGraw of Emporium; one daughter, Janet (Andrew) Kelly of Emporium; six grandchildren, Erin McGraw Betz of Odentin, Md., Doug McGraw of Clarkston, Mich., Alysia and Lloyd Rairdan of St. Marys, Patrick Rairdan of Emporium and Lori Cheatle of Ridgway; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roger Schnee of Wilmington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald, and a sister, Dorothy Schnee.
The family will receive friends in the First United Methodist Church on Monday from 3 to 4 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services will follow with the Rev. Joseph Short, pastor, officiating.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium.
