Bonnie N. Walker, 88, of 65 Jefferson St., Bradford, passed away Wednesday (May 11, 2016) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born March 23, 1928, in Winchester, Ky., she was a daughter of the late John C. and Bonnie James Nelson. On Nov. 10, 1961, in the First Presbyterian Church, she married Richard W. Walker, who died on June 3, 2014.
She was a 1946 graduate of Bradford High School.
Mrs. Walker was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Bell Telephone Pioneers. Bonnie worked as a supervisor for Bell Telephone for more than 30 years.
Surviving is one daughter, Susan Walker of Santa Cruz, Calif.; one son, Donald R. Walker of York; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by twin brothers John C. "Jack" Nelson and James A. Nelson.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of family at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
