KANE - Carol S. Seelye, 82, of 313 Sedgwick St., passed away Monday (Oct. 26, 2015) at Kane Community Hospital.

Born Sept. 30, 1933, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Hazel Oliver Simpson. On Oct. 17, 1970, in Kane, she married Richard Seelye, who survives.
Mrs. Seelye had worked as a bookkeeper for C.W. Hardware. Prior to that she had been employed by Stackpole and Houston Electronics. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Sandy Anderson of Kane, Brenda (Jeff) Kuder of San Rafael, Calif., and Roxanne Carter of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a son, Kevin (Connie) Carter of Wilcox; nine grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four stepdaughters, Debra (Jimmy) Blessel of Clearfield, Mary Lou (Mike) Hanson of Nobleville, Ind., Cindy (Dave) Filer of Force, and Susan (John) Butterfuss of Kersey; and seven stepgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Jean Nelson and Sally Paulson.
There will be no public visitation. Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Callistus Catholic Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
