KANE - Caroline Carson, 88, formerly of 6103 Route 66, Kane, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 28, 2015) at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Feb. 14, 1926, in Kane, she was a daughter of Nazzarno and Anna Fontnelli Caramboni. On Feb. 22, 1947, in Kane, she married Emmet R. Carson, who preceded her in death.
Caroline was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church. She had been employed by the former Benson Office Supply, Mountain City Bootery and most recently Carson Landscaping.
She belonged to the Kane Garden Club for many years and was a past president. She also did volunteer work for The Lutheran Home at Kane, the Kane Food Pantry, and Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are three sons, Terry Carson, Paul (Becky) Carson and Alan Carson, all of Kane; a daughter, Nancy Carson of Rochester, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Jessica (Steve) Whiteman and Shannon Carson, both of Kane; two great-grandchildren, Carson Whiteman and Ava Whiteman, both of Kane; her sister, Rose Orzetti of James City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by four sisters; and two brothers.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the gathering space at St. Callistus Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Callistus Catholic Church, 342 Chase St.; The Lutheran Home at Kane, 100 High Point Drive; or the Kane Food Pantry, Box 744, all in Kane.
