PORT ALLEGANY - Carolyn A. Brow, 77, of Port Allegany, died Sunday (May 12, 2013) in the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport.

She was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Coudersport, a daughter of W.G. and the late Lela Maggie "Midge" Lane Rumsey. On Sept. 4, 1963, in Reno, Nev., she married Warren L. Brow, who died June 23, 1990.
Mrs. Brow was a graduate of Port Allegany High School. She was an office clerk employed by Salts Tannery and the Walti-Schilling slaughterhouse, both in Santa Cruz, Calif., Xerox in Rochester, N.Y., and George Rapp Insurance in Port Allegany.
She is survived by two sisters, Peggy Joan Long of Victor, N.Y., and Sister Margaret Rumsey of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, W.G. Rumsey Jr. of Omaha, Neb.; stepson, Jeffrey Brow of Carson City, Nev.; stepdaughter, Sharon Thomas of Elliston, Mont.; nine stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two nieces; and five nephews.
Mrs. Brow was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
There will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Gabriel Cemetery, Port Allegany.
