Casey R. Fichte, 49, of Custer City, died Tuesday (Jan. 1, 2013).
He was the son of Edmond and Joyce Fichte of Bradford.
Mr. Fichte was a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Calif., majoring in French cuisine. After several years in San Francisco he returned to his hometown of Bradford. He was executive chef at The Lodge at Glendorn in McKean County and later senior corporate chef for Adelphia Corporation and Wending Creek Farms. He changed his career path and was later employed at American Refining Group Inc.
Along with hunting, fishing and kayaking, he loved his dog "Cyrus."
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving companion, Debbie Graham, with whom he resided; one sister, Lesa (Tom Koppenhaver) Fichte of Kenmore, N.Y.; one niece, Sara Koppenhaver of Kenmore, N.Y.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will be receiving friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue. Private funeral services will be held with the Rev. Tom Verner, pastor of the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in St. Petersburg Cemetery, St. Petersburg.
