Charles Alan Christjohn, 81, formerly of Bradford, passed away Tuesday (May 20, 2014) at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport.

Born May 23, 1932, in Kane, he was a son of the late Theodore and Leona Wilson and Christjohn.
He was a graduate of Bradford High School and served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in Korea.
Mr. Christjohn owned and operated the Rew Machine Shop for a number of years and then worked at Bovaird and Seyfang as a machinist until his retirement.
He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting trips to Montana and Wyoming, as well as being a lover of basset hounds and beagles.
Mr. Christjohn is survived by two daughters, Cathy Jo (Carl Jr.) Spehar of Bradford and Michele (Walter) Barnes of Cary, N.C.; three grandchildren, Carlinda Spehar of Bristol, Tenn., and Keegan and Joshua Swank of Cary; a brother, Bruce Christjohn; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; and one sister.
There will be no visitation and funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Kane. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
