HAZEL HURST - Charlotte Maine-Howard Bundy, 72, of Hazel Hurst, formerly of Austin, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 13, 2013) in Kane Community Hospital after a short illness.

Born Jan. 12, 1941, in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of Milford L. and Erma B. Wheeler Howard.
Charlotte was a graduate of Port Allegany High School. She had been employed as a nurse's aide at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport and had later been employed by Emporium Specialties in Austin.
She loved to play bingo and fish. Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving are eight children, Roberta B. Loveless of Port Allegany, Donald N. Kontz in Pennsylvania, Robert L. (Sharon) Kontz of Eldred, Eugene A. Kontz of Hazel Hurst, Patricia F. (Ronald) Falk of Port Allegany, Charles E. Kontz of Clarion, Anne M. Free of Hinsdale, N.Y., and Sandra L. (Mickey) Majot of Millport; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by a son, Christopher F. Kontz.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 S. Union St., Shinglehouse, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. The Rev. Jerry L. Stauffer, pastor of Grace Chapel Fellowship, Farmers Valley, will officiate. Burial will be in Odin Cemetery.
