Clifford M. Conner Sr., 75, a loving husband, father and grandfather, of Ormsby, passed away Tuesday (April 23, 2013) at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born March 13, 1938, in Salamanca, N.Y., he was a son of Andrew and Jessie Smeal Conner. On Oct. 31, 1973, in Eldred, he married Roberta J. Foltz Conner, who survives.
Mr. Conner attended Salamanca and Bradford area schools. As a young man, he worked cutting chemical wood and then in 1964 he established Conner's Auto Parts and later Conner's Recycling Center in Ormsby.
He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family and especially spending time with his dog and best friend "Ace".
In addition to his wife of 39 years, he is survived by eight children, Donna Capparelli of New Port Richey, Fla., Joyce Butters of Smethport, Tammy Rodebaugh of Hilltown, Cliff (Regina) Conner Jr., Brian (Carol) Conner and Christopher (Vickie) Conner, all of Ormsby, Kevin Conner of Lewis Run and Andy Conner Sr. of Smethport; 21 grandchildren including Andy Jr., Tyler, and Justin who resided with him; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Good of Bradford; one brother, Paul (Mary) Conner of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers August "Augie" Conner and Andrew "Bud" Conner; and five sisters, Margaret Barrett, Alberta Cohn, Betty Johnston, Marion Newman and Edna Sullivan.
Family will be receiving friends Friday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., East Main Street, from 4 to 7 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held with the Rev. Max Miller, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
