Courtney Lee Bridge, 29, of Winchester, Va., passed away Saturday (Feb. 1, 2014) in Hagerstown, Md.

Born July of 1984, in Bradford, he was the son of Brenda Austin-Chiodo, of Bradford, and Timothy Paul Bridge of Bradford.
Courtney was a 2002 graduate of Warren County High School, Front Royal, Va. He was employed as a correctional officer for the Maryland Correctional Institute in Hagerstown, Md.
He was an avid billiard player, artist, marksman and excelled in all sports. He was a loving father and very active in his son Elijah's life. Everyone who knew Courtney will always remember him with smiles and laughter. He brightened every situation he was in and was loved by everyone.
In addition to his mother and father he is survived by a son, Elijah Lowry-Bridge, of Winchester, Va., a brother, Justin Bridge, of Winchester, Va., paternal grandmother, Velma Bridge of Bradford, a stepfather, Mark Chiodo of Bradford, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family will be receiving friends for a Celebration of Life from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 385 E. Main St., with the Rev. Matt Blake, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating.
