PORT ALLEGANY - David O. Haggard, 33, of Parklane Drive, passed away Monday (June 6, 2016) unexpectedly at his home.

Born Aug. 24, 1982, in Coudersport, he was a son of David D. and Ilene Main Haggard.
David had been employed by C&S Lumber Co. of Roulette, before having to retire.
Mr. Haggard was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School and Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center, Class of 2001.
He was an avid outdoorsman.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and stepfather, Ilene and Wayne Kamats of Emporium, are maternal grandmother, Dorothy Main of Port Allegany; daughter, Avanna C. Haggard of Port Allegany; long-time companion, Emily L. Kilgus, with whom he resided; sister, Bonnie L. (Todd) VanSickles of Turtlepoint; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, David; two grandfathers; and a grandmother.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will immediately follow with the Rev. Michael Culver, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Portage Valley Cemetery, Wrights.
