ULYSSES - David L. Hershour, 85, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Port Allegany, died Saturday (Nov. 19, 2016).

Born May 20, 1931, in Nottingham, he was the son of Roy and Lela Swinehart Hershour. On Sept. 29, 1950, in Nottingham Township, he married the former Doris Gayle Baker, who predeceased him in 1995.
A Korean War veteran, he served honorably with the U.S. Army. David was a self-employed truck driver for more than 50 years.
Surviving are fiancé, Mary Ann Major; three children, Susan (Terry) Lepold, Dennis (Laurie) Hershour, and Sandy (Brad) Lucia, all of Nottingham; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan David Lepold; a brother, Harold Christian Hershour; and a sister, Dolly Mae Jenkins.
Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Ulysses, on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m., with funeral services at 1 p.m. Military rites will be accorded in the funeral home by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. Burial will be in Gibbs Hill Cemetery, Ludlow.
