MONTOURSVILLE - Deborah J. Fisher, 41, of Emporium, died Wednesday (Feb. 13, 2013) at Williamsport Regional Medical Center in Williamsport.

Deb was born in Rochester, N.Y., on April 26, 1971, the daughter of Gary J. and Paula M. Nitsche Fisher.
She graduated from Montoursville High School, Montoursville. She also graduated from Lycoming College, Williamsport, with a degree in business administration and a Pennsylvania Certification in elementary education.
Despite Deb's many medical problems throughout her lifetime, when you would see her on the street, she was always smiling. She was always willing to help others and spent many hours volunteering at the Emporium Senior Center.
She also organized many events at the Emporium Arms Apartment Building where she resided. Deb was also very active with many activities at St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium. She was past Grand Regent and an officer in the Catholic Daughters of America.
She taught CCD classes for many years and was a former substitute teacher for several elementary schools in the Emporium area.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Deanna High, Barbara Fisher and Gary P. Fisher, and niece and nephew, Morgan and Derrick High, all residing in the Williamsport area.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Mark Church in Emporium with the Rev. Paul Siebert officiating. There will be no visitation. A private burial will be held in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery in Ridgway.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to St. Mark Catholic Church; Emporium Senior Center; or Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
