Donald R. Schimp, 58, of 233 1/2 Summit Road, passed away Wednesday (July 2, 2014) at his residence.

Born in July 7, 1955, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of the late Ted and Barbara Coleman Schimp. On Feb. 13, 1980, in Reynoldsville, he married Anita L. Slater Schimp, who survives.
He worked as a driver and various other positions for Curtis Mathes Corp.
Mr. Schimp was an avid bingo player and also enjoyed repairing "fixer upper" vehicles as well as riding on four-wheelers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Tracy L. Schimp of Allentown, Winifer M. Schimp of Walla Walla, Wash., and Marsha A. Schimp of Bradford; a son, Clayton R.T. Schimp of Owensboro, Ky.; 23 grandchildren; and six brothers, Terry Schimp, Robert Schimp, Timmy Tompkins, Billy Tompkins, Randy Tompkins and Wayne Schimp, all of the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Heidi O. Schimp.
Friends are invited to visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the family home at 233 1/2 Summit Road, where services will be held with the Rev. Lynn Gatz, pastor of The Seventh Day Adventist Church, officiating.
