Donna E. Brandow, 73, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, of 417 Bolivar Drive, passed away Saturday (March 22, 2014) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born May 27, 1940, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Harry William and Wilma Elizabeth Meyers Burkett. On May 24, 2008, she married Charles O. Brandow, who passed away Sept. 23, 2009.
A 1958 graduate of Bradford High School, Mrs. Brandow worked at various locations in Bradford and around the country, including Zippo Manufacturing Co. and KOA Speer Electronics. She also was a bartender for a time at the Bradford Moose Club.
She was a member of the Moose Club, The Marche Club and American Legion and was a dog lover, most especially her dogs, Maxi and Oliver.
Mrs. Brandow is survived by four children, William D. Wixson of Cocoa, Fla., and Brenda (Mark) Graham, Chris (Bobbi) Wixson and Donald Kio, all of Bradford; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Wixson of Titusville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Natalie, Ashley, Jayden and Hunter; three stepgrandchildren, Amanda, Mark and Amber, one great-grandchild, Tyler; three stepgreat-grandchildren Matthew, Cohen and Ryan; a sister, Joyce Brooker of Bradenton, Fla.; three brothers, William Burkett of Limestone, N.Y., Thomas Burkett of Rixford and Gary Burkett of Greer, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Debbie Sherk of Bradford.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Robert Burkett. 
Friends are invited to call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Brad Preston, pastor of the Sawyer Evangelical Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
