JOHNSONBURG - Donna J. Mahoney, 83, of the Ridgemont Assisted Living Facility, Ridgway, formerly of 207 Willow St., Johnsonburg, died early morning Wednesday (April 30, 2014) in Ridgemont Assisted Living after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 16, 1931, in Johnsonburg, a daughter of Albert E. and Thelma E. Smith Fulton. On Dec. 30, 1950, she married Joseph C. Mahoney, who died on Feb. 1, 1994.
Mrs. Mahoney had resided in Johnsonburg all her life. She was employed by Elk County General Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1988. She had also worked as a secretary at the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church for several years.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and loved crafts and flowers.
Mrs. Mahoney is survived by three sons, Joseph C. (Carol) Mahoney Jr. of Erie, Timothy "Tim" (Lisa) Mahoney of Johnsonburg and Patrick "Pat" (Karen) Mahoney of Lehman; two daughters, Kathleen M. (David) Johnson of Erie and Bonita "Bonnie" Chesson of Lamont, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Mahoney; and two brothers, Albert and William "Bill" Fulton.
Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home Inc., 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
