KANE - Doris H. Paulson, 88, of Lake Placid, Fla., and formerly of Mount Jewett, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 8, 2019) at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Fla.
Doris was the daughter of the late Howard and Ellen Hannold. She was married to Donald F. Paulson who preceded her in death.
One of 14 children, she had been a resident of Covered Bridge in Lake Placid since 1991. She enjoyed card games with her friends, reading a good novel, watching cowboy movies and going to the casino. Her passion was teaching line dance classes in her community.
She was a member of the Mount Jewett United Methodist Church and attended the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid.
Surviving are her two loving daughters, Diane (Larry) Crow and Marcy (Neal) Wiseman; her stepson, Carl (Lecia) Paulson; and her grandchildren, Matthew Crow and Dana Paulson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Dana Paulson.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home Inc. on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow with the Rev. Cindy Duffee of the Mount Jewett United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Nebo Cemetery.
At a later date, a memorial service to celebrate Doris's life will be held in Lake Placid.
