EMPORIUM - Eileen M. Hertlein, 71, of 200 E. Sixth St., Ext., Emporium died at her residence on Monday morning (Dec. 31, 2012).

She was born Aug. 16, 1941, in San Jose, Calif., a daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie Menezes. On Jan. 8, 1960, in San Jose, she married Alan O. Hertlein, who survives.
Eileen graduated from James Lick High School in San Jose, and she worked for various places in Emporium. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, were three daughters, Linda (Dave) Lopez of Windson, Calif., and Tina Hertlein and Tracy (Todd) Swartz, both of Emporium; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and three brothers, Joseph Barcellos of Lake Tahoe, Nev., Delbert Barcellos of San Jose and Steven Barcellos of Emporium.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth St., Emporium, at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Paul S. Siebert and the Rev. Rock Pifer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery, Karthaus.
