Eleanor M. 'Squirt' Carpenter, 84, formerly of 183 E. Main St., Bradford, a resident of Wellsboro, passed away Thursday (Jan. 24, 2013) at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro.

Born June 19, 1929, in Minia, she was a daughter of the late Frederick M. and Susie Martindale Troutman.
She attended Bradford schools.
She worked for Bradford Regional Medical Center and was a waitress at the Congress Street Diner and Nick's Red Hots.
She is survived by three brothers, Tony Troutman of Wellsboro, Bill Troutman of Clarence, N.Y., and Gary Troutman of Roulette; five grandchildren, Rhonda Colts, Robin Perez, Jessica Lynn Baker, Robert Joseph "Bob" Baker and Ryan Joseph Baker; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Irwin Joseph "Joe" Baker; four brothers, Mayhlon Troutman, Claire Troutman, Medford Troutman and Neil Troutman; and one sister, Marion Baker.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
