KANE - Emmy L. Hallberg, 72, of 413 West Hemlock Ave., Kane, passed away Wednesday (May 20, 2015) in her home.

Born March 1, 1943, in Kane, she was a daughter of Alf and Doris Alexis Benson. On June 17, 1961, in Kane she married Harold Elmer Hallberg, who survives.
Mrs. Hallberg was a graduate of Kane Area High School and had been employed as a bank teller at RSNB formerly know as Rock Springs National Bank in Rock Springs, Wyo., where she had resided for 20 years before returning to Kane. She enjoyed reading and was a member of Tabor Lutheran Church.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Julie (James) Wilson of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Janette (Jeff) Roost of Rapid City, S.D.; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a sister, Ann Lindquist of Kane and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Hallberg.
Friends will be received at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home Inc., 103 South Fraley St., from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, where funeral and committal services will be held at 10 a.m. with the Rev. W Craig Smith, pastor of Mount Jewett and Hazel Hurst United Methodist Churches, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
