COUDERSPORT - Frank B. Schaffner Sr., 93, of Coudersport, died Tuesday (Aug. 6, 2013) at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport. 
Born May 11, 1920, in Palmyra, he was the son of the late Frank Henry and Nora Reese Schaffner. He graduated in 1937 from Palmyra High School. On Dec. 14, 1985, he married his second wife, Vera Sullivan Schaffner.
He had worked before and after his military service as a quarry foreman at Millards Quarry/Bethlehem Steel Corp. until his retirement. He served in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army, both during World War II
He was an Elder of the Gospel Tabernacle in Coudersport, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Miller of Annville; sons, Frank B.Schaffner Jr., and his wife Sherry of Lebanon and C. Andrew Schaffner of West haven, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.  
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Ruhl Schaffner; a brother, John Schaffner; and a sister, Emma Taylor.
Friends are invited to Frank's Life Celebration which will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Coudersport Gospel Tabernacle with the Rev. David Minor Sr. officiating. Graveside services will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra, at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral arrangements are being held by the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, a life celebration home.
