He later was employed at the Olean Tile Plant.
He was a lifetime member of the Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Department. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Gary really appreciated the staff of Sena Kean Manor for their professional attention.
He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (David) Dilley of Kane; three grandsons, Austin Eaton of Kane, and Ryan Cuoco and Andrew Cuoco of Enfield, Conn.; a stepmother, June Eaton Ferguson of Friendship; two brothers, Chester Eaton of Ceres and Fred (Diane) Eaton of Smethport; two sisters, Elda "Cookie" (Milford) Green of Eldred and Lynn (Doug) Church of Enfield, Conn.; two stepbrothers, Joseph Elliott from Alabama and Sonny Elliott of Rochester, N.Y.; two stepsisters, Penny Beams from Alabama and Linda Stuck of Friendship; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1987 and his mother in 1965. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Frame Funeral Home, where memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Mong officiating.
