COUDERSPORT - Gayle Elizabeth Hafer, 69, of Fisher Drive, Coudersport, passed away Friday (April 19, 2013) in her home.

Born July 16, 1943, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of John A and Grace R. Reese. On June 13, 1964, in Mount Penn, Gayle married Terry A. Hafer, who survives.
A devoted Christian, Gayle and her husband had recently begun worshiping with the First Presbyterian Church of Coudersport. She was an awesome and loving mother and wife, and a devoted homemaker. Gayle was an avid gardener and a remarkable cook, she enjoyed her membership in the Coudersport Golf Club, and Coudersport American Legion, and her hobbies of sewing, stitching, quilting, cooking and decorating.
Surviving are her mother, Grace; her husband, Terry; three sons, Todd A. Hafer of Laureldale, Troy A. Hafer (Shari) of Wernersville and Chad A Hafer (Tracey) of Coudersport; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother; John A. Reese (Jill) of Fleetwood; and three nephews.
Friends may call at the Coudersport Presbyterian Church from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday to attend Gayle's Life Celebration with a memorial service to follow in church at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Evon Lloyd officiating.
