MOUNT JEWETT - George Kelley, 72, of 140 W. Main St., Mount Jewett, passed away Monday (Nov. 25, 2013) at his residence.
Born Nov. 11, 1941, in Kane, he was a son of the late George and Louise Carlson Kelley.
Mr. Kelley had been employed by Kodak and later by Warren State Hospital, from which he retired.
Surviving are his ex-wife, Hazel Kelley of Mount Jewett, who has remained a very close friend; two daughters, Laura Cantwell of Williamson, N.Y., and Tracy Ann Kelley; a son, James Earl Kelley; four sisters, Rita Matter, Polly Goodwin, Betty Lou Burns and June Napolitan; six brothers, Allen Kelley, Howard Kelley, Louie Kelley, Gene Kelley, Ricky Kelley and Larry Kelley; two grandsons, Richard J. Cantwell III and Jeffrey Lee Cantwell; and a granddaughter, Nicole Marie Cantwell.
A memorial service will be held at a future date to be announced. The Cummings Funeral Home Inc. in Mount Jewett is in charge of arrangements.
