EMPORIUM - Gerald J. "Mickey" Murray, 81, of Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, Duncansville, formerly of Emporium and Florida, died at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home on Saturday afternoon (May 3, 2014) following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 15, 1932, in Emporium, a son of the late Violet Bailey Minard.
Mr. Murray served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He lived many years in Florida, where he was a self-employed businessman.
Surviving are an aunt, Lois Rader of Emporium; an uncle, Carl "Dick" Bailey of Emporium; and several cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
There will be no visitation or services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Barnett Funeral Home Inc.
