Geraldine M. Burton, 81, of 12 Chamberlain Ave., passed away Monday (July 1, 2013) at her residence.

Born June 6, 1932, in Degolia, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mabel Hanyon Eidson.
Mrs. Burton was a 1950 graduate of Bradford High School. She had been employed at W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. for several years. She moved to Florida in 1985 and worked at a bank as a security guard.
She is survived by a daughter, Tina M. (Jerry Greek) Hernandez of Bradford; a son, David M (Debra) Burton of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Jimmy Hernandez Jr., Gina Burton, Amy Burton, Nicole Burton, Rebecca Hooper and Elizabeth Harris; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth L. Burton; one daughter, Linda K. Burton; and three brothers.
Friends may call on Monday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Tom Verner, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
