Geraldine A. Hart, 88, of Bradford, formerly of Hackettstown, N.J., passed away on Thursday (May 17, 2012) at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

She was born on June 18, 1923, in Kearny, N.J., the daughter of the late Lewis O. and Ada M. Dockray Petty. On Dec. 11, 1943, she married Wildrick Hart, who survives.
She was a 1942 graduate of Hackettstown (N.J.) High School.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Current Events Club. She volunteered for various functions with the American Red Cross, the Bradford Historical Society and Crook Farm.
While living in New York City, N.Y., from 1945 to 1948, she worked at the former Saks 42nd St. Department Store.
In addition to her husband of 68 years, Wildrick Hart of Bradford, she is also survived by two sons, Jay W. (Jacqueline) Hart of Yorktown, Va., and Craig L. (Neidra) Hart of Bradford; one daughter, Cynthia L. (Floyd) Sturtevant of Bradford; one brother, Lewis Petty of Hackettstown; three grandsons, Justin Hart of New Haven, Conn., Lorne Hart of Bradford and Chad Hart of Yorktown; one granddaughter, Jovanna Hart of Jackson, Wyo.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, with a memorial service following immediately with the Rev. W. Leroy Beckes officiating. Burial will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown.
