Glenn E. Cauvel, 84, of 66 St. John's Drive, and formerly of Fullerton Road, Derrick City, Pa., passed away Saturday (April 7, 2012) in the Highland at Brighton Nursing Home, Rochester.

Born Sept. 22, 1927, in Franklin, Pa., he was a son of the late Lawrence and Marion Kockler Cauvel. On May 11, 1968, in Olean, he married the former Marilyn L. Taylor, who passed away May 22, 1991.
He was a graduate of Otto-Eldred (Pa.) High School and was employed at Olean Wholesale Co-op Inc., retiring in 1981.
Glenn was a member of the Knapp Creek United Methodist Church and enjoyed watching baseball on TV.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary L. Cole of Rochester and Debra E. (James ) Reed of Watkins Glen; three grandchildren, Michael Cole, Elizabeth Reed and Jonathan Reed; two brothers, the Rev. Paul (Alice ) Cauvel and Lawrence (Joan) Cauvel, both of Derrick City; two sisters, Barbara Cook of Duke Center, Pa., and Jennie (Jack) Blumenthal of Olean; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Brad Chesebro of the Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery, Allegany.
