Gordon ""Dan"" Cotter, 73, of Third Street, Roulette, passed away Wednesday (Oct. 3, 2012) as a result from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born April 30, 1939, in Roulette Township, he was a son of Walter A. and Eloise Davie Cotter. In 1981, in Austin, he married Janice Litzinger.
He was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of the Port Allegany High School, Class of 1957.
Mr. Cotter was also a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Army.
He was employed with Pittsburgh Corning Co., Port Allegany, as a foreman in the glass block department before his retirement.
Surviving are a daughter, Sarah A. Cotter of Roulette; a brother, Walter J. (Betty) Cotter of Centerville, Va.; and a sister, Phyllis M. (Dean) Cowles of Little Genesee, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Edgar Brewer Jr.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the Grace Fellowship Chapel, Farmers Valley, with the Rev. Jerry Stauffer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Roulette.
