Harriet J. Neatrour, 82, of 5 Lang Lane, Lewis Run, and formerly of 460 Interstate Parkway, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 21, 2012) at The Pavilion at BRMC.
She was born in Apollo on Jan. 23, 1930, a daughter of the late George and Irene Hartman Burns. On April 17, 1948, in Apollo, she married William F. Neatrour Sr., who survives her.
She was a 1948 graduate of Apollo High School.
She worked as a baker at Tops Market until her retirement, and had worked previously at Clarks Discount Store, AirCo Speer, Sal's and Son's, and Harvest Store. Her greatest joy was spending time with her dog "Susie."
Surviving, in addition to her husband Bill, are two daughters, Sandra (Bob) Nielsen of Lewis Run and Debra (Joe) Piganelli of Bradford; two sisters, Betty (Paul) Wolfe of Butler and Mary (Ron) Eckman of Apollo; one brother, Dick (Joan) Burns of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Bob Nielsen, Lisa Laird, Cyle Piganelli, Tayln Piganelli, Jeff Neatrour, Lori Aponte and Scott Neatrour; three great-grandchildren, Max Nielsen, Andrew Laird and Katie Nielsen; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William F. Neatrour Jr., who died Jan. 22, 2005; and one granddaughter, Jaki Neatrour, who died April 23, 1996.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Max Miller, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Apollo.
