ELDRED - Harry L. Pilon, 93, of West Eldred Road, passed away Monday (Nov. 28, 2016) at the Bradford Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born Jan. 25, 1923, in Portville, N.Y., he was a son of Edmond and Madge Bailey Pilon. On Oct. 6, 1951 in the Duke Center United Methodist Church, he married Margaret "Peggy" Trask, who passed away on Feb. 2, 2003.
Harry grew up in Portville and had attended the Deer Creek School, he moved to West Eldred in the 1950s where he spent the rest of his life.
Mr. Pilon was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War Two. He was employed for over 39 years at the American-Olean Tile Company where he held various positions until his retirement in 1987.
He enjoyed spending time at home and tinkering around the house, as well as watching the birds. He was an avid card player.
Surviving are two sons, Leon (Tammy Starks) Pilon of Eldred, and Kent Pilon of Hudson, Ohio; three daughters, Jina (Tom) Clay of Akron, Ohio, Gay Ellen (John) Pernau of Ridgeley, W.Va., and Linda Wesche of Wellsville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edmond Pilon in Texas.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Pilon.
At Harry's request there will be no services held; burial will be in East Sharon Cemetery.
