EMPORIUM - Jacqueline E. "Jackie" Rusnak, 81, of West Fifth Street, Emporium and Arcadia, Fla., died Wednesday (Nov. 4, 2015) in Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Fla.

Born March 22, 1934, in Chipman, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Hanson and Leota Johnson Clarke. On Nov. 12, 1977, in Windburne, she married James B. Rusnak, who survives.
On May 10, 1973 in Bellefonte, she became a United States citizen. A resident of Emporium for 38 years, she was formerly of Philipsburg, where she managed the American Legion for several years, and was recruited to help open the Harbor Inn, where she worked for a time. After relocating to Emporium, she was employed by the Lyn Claire Flower Shop. She then opened a flower shop with two friends, "Flowers 'N Things," and continued to operate it as sole owner until retiring in 1999.
Mrs. Rusnak was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium and was an avid quilter. She was a former member of the Emporium Country Club, where she served on the board of directors, the Ladies Auxiliary of Emporium Country Club, the Emporium Rotary Club and the Catholic Daughters of America in Philipsburg.
Survivors include three sons, Glen Fraser in Maryland, Jerry (Cathy) Fraser of Philipsburg and David (Sharon) Fraser of Driftwood; one daughter, Vicki (Charles) Nocek of Lehighton; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers in Canada, Willard (Judy) Clarke and Otis (Judy) Clarke; two sisters, also in Canada, Joan Clarke and Donna (George) Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Irvin Clarke, at the age of one year.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mark Church with the Rev. Paul Siebert, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery, Emporium.
