ERIE - James A. Grinolds, 68, of Erie, passed away Friday (Dec. 7, 2012) at UPMC Hamot.
Born in Bradford, on Aug. 7, 1944, he was the son of the late Bernard and Doris Grinolds.
Jim was a 1962 graduate of Bradford High School and then attended and graduated from the Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. After graduation, Jim worked in several professional service areas, retiring from Waste Management in January of 2009.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and walking the Peninsula. He had a great sense of humor and sensitive nature. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Bradford.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Meloney Stewart Grinolds in 1994.
He is survived by two daughters, Kimberley (Eric) Pieske and Kelly Grinolds, both of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Janet (Joe) Nuzzo of Jamestown, N.Y.; one nephew, Tim Nuzzo of Jamestown; one niece, Jodi (Dan) Sellman of Pittsburgh.; one great-niece, Haley; two great-nephews, Brady and Troy; and several cousins.
Friends may call at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dusckas Funeral Home Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road, Erie, where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
