KANE - James D. Henningan, 75, of 3 Keesler Ave. in Mount Jewett, died Tuesday morning (Jan. 5, 2016) at the Sena-Kean Manor, where he had recently resided.

He was born on April 22, 1940, in Kane, the son of the late Maurice and Kathryn Jordan Henningan.
Mr. Hennigan was a member of the Army Reserves and had also worked at Stackpole. More recently he was the owner and operator of James D. Henningan Trucking. He was also a member of the Mount Jewett American Legion Post #574 and the Mount Jewett Rotary Club.
Surviving relatives include his lifelong companion, Carol Malone, at home; three sisters, Joan (Ron) Hedlund of Erie, Rosella (Donald) Kendzior of Olean, N.Y., and K. Bernadette Aldridge of Hinsdale, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one nephew, Daniel Jordan Hedlund; and a brother-in-law Michael J. Aldridge.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cummings Funeral Home Inc. in Kane, with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor of St. Callistus Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bridgeview Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, % Tom Geer, Mount Jewett or to the Kid Fishing Club, % John Walker, Hazel Hurst, Pa.
