OLEAN, N.Y. - Jayne C. Driscoll of 124 N. 17th St. passed away Thursday (Dec. 5, 2013) at her home.

Born Dec. 18, 1916, in Bradford, Pa., she was the daughter of James and Isabelle Cooney Campbell. In 1940 at St. Bernard's Church in Bradford, Pa., she married Harold M. Driscoll, who predeceased her May 8, 1969.
Mrs. Driscoll graduated from St. Bernard High School in Bradford in 1934 as valedictorian of her class and attended Villa Maria College in Erie, Pa. She worked for several telephone companies including Bell of Pennsylvania, Rochester Telephone and New York Telephone from which she retired as a service assistant in 1981.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed reading, collecting books on the French school of painting, and collecting Madonnas. She was also a fan of the New York Yankees. She loved to travel and made many trips to Florida, North Carolina and California.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Jean Campbell of Hendersonville, N.C., several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and close friends.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary C. Haskell; a brother, Col. James E. Campbell and a beloved niece, Patricia Kane.
Friends are welcome to attend a brief visitation Tuesday at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean, from 9 to 9:30 a.m., followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, and Rev. Thomas Quinlivan will concelebrate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
