EMPORIUM - Jean A. Floyd, 85, of 107 Floyd Road, Sinnemahoning, formerly of Glen Burnie, Md., and Renovo, died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys, on Tuesday (Jan. 8, 2013) morning.
She was born June 20, 1927, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Irvin and Ethel Johnson Weaver. She married Robert Floyd, who survives.
She and her husband were married over 64 years. Jean graduated from Renovo High School and then worked at Robert Hall Clothing Store for many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Renovo. She enjoyed living in Sinnemahoning and watching the wildlife. Jean mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Carol (Jeff) Floyd Pavlis of Glen Burnie; four grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth) Pavlis, Jon (Sarah) Pavlis, Ryan Floyd and Erin Floyd Weiss; 1 great-grandson William Pavlis; and a brother, Irvin (Eileen) Weaver of Lakeland, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Weaver.
Visitation will be held on Friday at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, from 3 to 5 p.m., with a funeral service immediately following. The Rev. Chris Kindle, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, St. Marys, will officiate. Burial will be in the Floyd Family Cemetery, Sinnemahoning.
